I didn't liked it when my mom "forced" me into taking vocal lessons. My parents tried and tried until one day, my mom tells me she knows this young lady who gives vocal lessons in Ottawa. I wasn't excited about the whole idea. But my mom insisting in me giving it a try.
My mom introduced me to Ferline Regis. Suddenly she starts talking about her plans for my voice and she talked about an upcoming showcase and I got very interested. Ferline understands my vocal needs and knows how to make learning fun. Every Monday, I get excited(surprisingly) because Ferline knows how to teach us GREAT vocal techniques, it isn’t always easy but it's all worth it. I am now positive about my singing performance because Ferline prepared me and all I have to do is prepare myself by putting all the vocal techniques into work. She is a real blessing and I really loved taking lessons with her, I'm looking forward to another session with her. My 12 year-old daughter has taken singing lessons over the last 5 years but only in the last 16 months with Ferline Regis. We have noted a significant improvement in her voice, her confidence and her overall enjoyment of singing since joining Ferline. Others have noted the change also. She has participated in an on-stage musical by a local theater group and has recently been selected as a solo singer for her school. I suspect Ferline's success stems from her ability to increase a child's confidence to sing by evaluating a child's voice and encouraging them to select songs that suit their voice; by consequence a child enjoys early success and wants to continue. Ferline also pushes them to expand their voice but in gradual achievable steps. Finally, the fact that Ferline is an incredible singer herself allows her to teach singing by example, the easiest way to learn. Her teaching style and natural singing abilities are a fantastic combination, which is hard to find in a teacher. I highly recommend her voice lessons to others.
